REASSEMBLING: ENVISIONING HOME IN THE FACE OF EXILE AND LOSS
Armenian-Turkish art exhibition took place in San Francisco in April 2017 had the main goal to unite Armenian and Turkish artists despite the existing conflict between these countries.
The concept of the poster was inspired by the idea of actual reassembling of the divided parts of artworks into one image, using art pieces of the exhibition participants. To create visual hierarchy, I used bright red in the upper left corner of the poster to help viewers know where to start and also used different font sizes to create visual flow of the name of the exhibition. The black background reflects tragic past that connects Armenia and Turkey.
